ABOUT THE ARTIST
Sandra Elliott has a passion for color, texture, balance, design, and how best to manipulate each in ways that are new and exciting to her. This passion led her to a 25-year career as an interior designer and later to explore these elements in a two-dimensional realm as a painter.
Although she enjoys rendering, realism, and drawing, and still maintains a daily practice, much like an athlete stretching before a run, the technical aspects of painting hold little interest for her. Her work starts with an image inspired by the complexities and layers of nature or the depth, tone, and essence of a narrative. This guides her in the selection of mediums, colors, and compositions.
Museums for All is a national access program that encourages individuals of all backgrounds to visit museums regularly and build lifelong museum habits. Through this program, those receiving food assistance (SNAP benefits) are eligible for reduced admission by showing their EBT card.
