Welcome to Kidzu!
EXCITING NEWS! KIDZU IS MOVING TO UNIVERSITY MALL THIS FALL: This new location, in the space formerly occupied by the Chapel Hill Library, will serve as a Launch Pad for our future permanent home (2016) atop Wallace Plaza in historic downtown Chapel Hill. This Launch Pad location will allow Kidzu to expand our creative design-thinking, create new programming including maker workshops and STEAM (Science, Technology Engineering, Art and Math) education, and will help prepare us to grow into the Wallace Plaza facility. New exhibit elements, expanded programming, more field trips, better birthday parties and much more are in the works for our new location. This Fall we hope you will be a part of Kidzu's Launch Pad! For more information visit our new museum page.
KIDZU WILL CONTINUE TO SERVE OUR VISITORS THROUGHOUT THE 2013 SUMMER AT UNIVERSITY SQUARE: This bright and cheery site at 123 West Franklin Street in University Square offers great interactive exhibit areas along with lots of fun and educational programming for children 0-8 years of age and their caregivers. For a quick look at our new space check out this video created by the Chapel Hill Downtown Partnership.
Kidzu Children's Museum is a hands-on museum in the heart of downtown Chapel Hill geared to children 0-8 years of age. Our mission is to inspire children and the adults in their lives to learn through play.
